The mission of North Asheville Preschool is to be a ministry to the members of Asbury Memorial and the community in which it is located. A dedicated and diverse staff, overseen and supported by a committed Board of Directors, provides a loving yet challenging environment in which children of every race, ethnicity and religion can express themselves through various creative activities and expand their knowledge of the world around them.

As they grow physically, children are given opportunities to also grow socially, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. They are encouraged to develop desirable habits and values such as honesty, understanding, forgiveness, tolerance, compassion, truthfulness and charity in order to become caring, sharing and responsible persons.

The program offers children experiences in many areas, including creative art and play, social skills, music, stories and kindergarten readiness. These provide a solid foundation for later education while helping children expand their own self-expression, self control, self reliance and self-esteem as they progress at their individual rates.
